Budweiser beer, produced using solar power!

According to European Supermarket Magazine on the 2nd, Budweiser's parent company and the world's largest beer maker, AB InBev, has signed an agreement with European renewable energy company Lightsource BP to use solar energy in its brewing facilities in the UK. Under the agreement with AB InBev, Light Source BP plans to produce 100MW of electricity needed to produce beer through solar power generation. 100MW is the amount of electricity that 18,000 households can use at the same time. Solar power will be sent and absorbed into the UK's Power Grid at the end of next year and will be used to produce beer at breweries in South Wales and Lancashire, AB InBev's Budweiser UK production base. Only two plants produce 17 million cans of beer a week. AB InBev is seeking to switch to 100 percent renewable energy. It declared in early 2017 that it would convert all power used in its production facilities around the world into renewable energy sources such as solar energy by 2025. ...
